2025 Taiwan LPGA Tour | Taiwan Prosperity Ladies Open 4 – 6 Jun Tournament Preview
Date:2025-06-03

The Taiwan LPGA Tour heads to Changhua, Taiwan, for the second annual Taiwan Prosperity Ladies Open, which features 104 pro golfers from Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, and host Taiwan. The winning purse is worth NT$540,000 in the NT$3,000,000 event.

The TLPGA Tour top-tier tournament will be played through 54 holes at the Changhua Golf Club from Wednesday to Friday.

Defending champion, Yilan native Shih Cheng-Hsuan (石澄璇) is hoping to relive her winning memories from last year at the Wu Fong Golf Course, where she secured her first title in four years after finishing on 11-under 205.

“I really look forward to playing at the new venue. It has been a really long time since I’ve played here at the Changhua Club. It is a fun and challenging course for sure. I’m just happy to be back,” said Shih.

The recent CTBC Ladies Open winner, Thai sensation P.K. Kongkraphan is also aiming to keep up the good form for a consecutive victory.

The competition layout is set at 6,296 yards long. Hole-in-one prizes from Departure, SAMPO, EAGLE Golf, and BESV E-Bike, and Franz will be up for grabs on Hole 2, 9, 11, and 16.

Title sponsor Taiwan Prosperity Development has regularly had two events on the Taiwan PGA Tour, and they finally made a long-anticipated addition on the women’s TLPGA Tour since 2024.

“We felt truly honored to be able to work with Taiwan Prosperity Development to enhance the professional environment for the players. The TLPGA Tour is in a great spot. Thank you again to the Taiwan Prosperity and the Changhua Golf Club for making this event possible,” TLPGA Chairwoman Liu Yi-Chen said on the pre-tournament party.

First-round action begins tomorrow at 6:30 from the first and tenth tees. The field will be cut to the top-50 and ties after the second round.
