The Foxconn Taiwan Players Championship, one of the richest TLPGA Tour top-tier events, will be a new co-sanctioned event on the 2026 JLPGA Tour as an oversea pitstop. A signing ceremony between the TLPGA and the JLPGA was held in Japan today.

This collaboration marks the first time the Japan based circuit travels to Taiwan after a span of nearly five decades. The 2026 Foxconn Taiwan Players Championship will take place at the Orient Golf & Country Club in Taoyuan, Taiwan, from Mar 12 to Mar 15 in the 2026 season.



Title sponsor Foxconn (Hon Hai Technology Group), one of the world’s largest electronics manufacturers, will be upping the prize pool of the pinnacle tournament from this year’s US$1.5 million to US$2 million.



“Through this exchange, our players of different backgrounds will have a chance to connect deeper and simulate growth in an international competitive setting by two of the biggest women’s golf tours in Asia,” said JLPGA chairwoman Hiromi Kobayashi. “I’m extremely honored and delighted to be here witnessing this milestone moment.
