The spotlights are all on Ssu-Chia CHENG in the final round, she had one shot lead before the game but suddenly one shot behind Min LEE due to the double bogey at 1st hole. Since then, nothing could ever stop Min LEE, birdie-eagle-birdie from hole 3 to 5; it was a splendid 48-foot long putt eagle at hole 4. After nine holes, LEE has two shots lead by 4-under-par 32.

LEE did not stop firing, she used hybrid from 189 yards precisely put the ball 1-foot to the hole, eagle again at hole 11; and another 3 birdies at hole 10,13,14 between 10-15 foot putts. The other hand, Ssu-Chia CHENG made 2 birdies during these 5 holes, but also got a bogey and a double bogey. After hole 14, Min LEE made the largest gap 8 shot lead against CHENG, though she ended up with a bogey at the last hole and couldn’t break the course record, she is still thrilled to win her first TLPGA champion.

While at the award ceremony, Min LEE said she felt so happy and warm to win this tournament in her homeland; it’s big contrast when winning in US, nobody to share the joy with. Thanks to the host and Royal Kuan-His Golf Club, her sponsor Swinging Skirts, Munsin Garment Corp. and ARWIN BIO-TECH. CO. LTD. Mostly appreciate her parents, which her mom quit the job and accompany her to US on the Tour.

“Three years in US LPGA Tour improved a lot in all aspects. I never imagine to win this tournament and felt relax this time in Taiwan; what I kept telling myself is do my job, play my ball and don’t think too much.” Said LEE.

LEE believed the key to win today is mental, she assured herself not thinking too much, relying inner peace while dealing every shot. In addition, she increased her physical training lately, new driver which add some distance and precise putting today, led to this amazing score and win the game. Most important factor is the books about mental she have been reading lately, successfully performed the result in this tournament.

In the beginning of the year, she admitted there are plenty of negative thoughts starting to pop up, which made her so lost. Therefore, she started to read mental books and surprisingly helpful while dealing with pressure and all sort of problems; mostly importantly is “loyal to yourself”. This win has proved every decision she made on the path were right, this has also added much confident to deal with LPGA Tour next year.
