The three-way co-sanctioned ICTSI Philippines Ladies Masters presented by Worldwide Link is teeing off this Wednesday at The Country Club Sta Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.
The event doubled its purse from $100,000 in 2024 to a new-high $200,000, supported by the TLPGA Tour, the LPGT (Ladies Philippine Golf Tour), as well as the Korea LPGA’s Dream Tour. The three-round competition will be played to a stroke-play format to a par score of 72.
The stellar international field saw 132 players from six nations vie for the special triple-tour crown, which includes a 16-woman TLPGA contingent featuring leading Taiwanese golfers Chang Wenny Ching-Ling (張靖翎), Wang Li-Ning (王莉甯), Chen Chih-Min (陳之敏), Huang Ching (黃靖), and Lin Tzu-Chi (林子麒).
“With these passionate people at the Women’s Golf Association of the Philippines,
We have put together 17 memorable tourneys over the past 11 years. It’s been a bless to work with you,” said TLPGA chairwoman Liu Yi-Chen. “And now with KLPGA joining us, I believe this ICTSI Philippines Ladies Masters will be an iconic one with an incredible mix of cultures, energy, and playing styles that enrich the fan experience.”
“I hope for the players themselves, looking beyond earning the victory, this will be just a great way to celebrate the beauty of the sport with international friends, share camaraderie, and indulge in a humbling learning experience, as people with different backgrounds meet with each other,” said Colo Ventosa, General Manager of Pilipinas Golf.
“We hope this tournament provides more than just competitions and winning or losing, and that all will enjoy the sportsmanship in this special opportunity,” added Kim Chong-Pal, Chairman of FOSCON and President of the Manila Korean Town Association.
After the TLPGA Tour was accepted into the WWGR (World Women’s Golf Rankings) system in July of 2014, the 2015 ICTSI Ladies Open became TLPGA Tour’s first co-sanctioned event to offer world ranking points. |
