Liv Cheng from New Zealand but also Taiwanese shot 69 shared the 3rd with Emma Talley and Nannette Hill from USA, Bronte Law from England by 5-under-par 139.
Anne-Catherine Tanguay from Canada who was leading yesterday shot 74, total 4-under-par 140 currently tied 7th with 4 other players. It would be a furious competition at final round tomorrow.
Ching Huang is the only Taiwan player who made the cut, she had 73 today 1-over-par 145 to tied at 26th.
The committee set the cut line at 3-over-par 147, total 63 made to the final round.
Amateur Tze-Han Lin hand over 76 today, total 148 only 1 stroke behind to made the cut.
Harigae was the annual best player in 2009 Symetra Tour, her career history had 3 wins and six top-10. She lives only 10 mins away from the course and trained over 3 years in the course.
She had 5 birdies and 1 bogey, everything clubs are in the shape almost no error. At hole 13, she chipped in for birdie that was the best shot of her day. She can’t wait to seek for her 4th win tomorrow.
Co-leader Kono had 3 birdies and 1 bogey, she turned pro in 2013 and seeking for her first career win tomorrow.
Liv Chen was born in New Zealand and her parents are both Taiwanese, she can speak fluent Mandarin and finished university in USA. This is her 3rd year of Symetra, great chance to win the tournament tomorrow.
Ching Huang started from hole 10 and had 2 birdies, a bogey and a double bogey. She birdied at hole 2 by 30 feet putt, approached the green by two shots at par-5 hole 9 and 2 putts for birdie. At hole 14, tee shot to the left, three shots on the green, and 2 putts from 9 feet for bogey. At hole 6, tee shot to the left woods, while carry out short and missed the bunker save, made to the green by 4 shots and 2 putts to the hole, which ended double bogey.
She said the wind was still strong today, low temperature in the morning and night, losing confidence on the woods and caused unstable outcomes, most of them went left and only 7 fairway hits today. The irons are normal, 10 greens in regular. Total 29 putts still holding her level in putting.
Since she was the only Taiwanese who made to the final round, she will take things normal tomorrow and adjust her mistake occurs today, hope to lift her ranking more as possible.
Amateur Tzu-Han Lin sponsored by Swinging Skirts resulted 41st last week, she was ranked 32nd with Ching Huang yesterday, even though didn’t giving her normal performance and miss the cut.
She had 36 in the front 9 holes but started to play bogey by bogey from hole 10 to 14, there’s even two holes missed the iron shots and putt from the edge but ended 3-putt error. There was 3 holes 3-4 feet miss putt and didn’t save par, resulted in 76 and miss cut by one shot.
She claimed although a bit upset, today was a great learning experience to her.
In the other hand, Doris Chen caught a cold couldn’t play the round, unfortunately to withdraw.
The tournament total prize money USD100,000, winner will be rewarded USD15,000. This is the 3rd tournament out of USA Symetra Tour 21 tournaments; it is also the second year co-certificate between TLPGA Tour and Symetra Tour.
Symetra Tour annual OOM top 10 will receive player card to participate 2018 LPGA Tour.
Final round will tee off from 1st and 10th tee; morning session from 7:00am, last group 8:55am; estimated to end by 14:00pm.
The tournament situated at center of Arizona, east of Phoenix City Mesa Longbow Golf Club, total 54 holes and 3 rounds, total 6439 yards.
Symetra Tour released 12 spots to Taiwan including 9 professional players Tzu-Chi Lin, Doris Chen, Yu-Ju Chen, Rebecca Tsai, Szu-Hsuan Huang, Ching Huang, Edith Huang, Scooby Liu and Yi-Ling Liang; the other 3 amateurs Tze-Han Lin, Yu-Hsin Yen and 15-year-old Tzu-Yi Chang.
